Lite Blue Tool Only Works on PSP 2000?
People looking to buy the Datel Lite Blue Tool to hack their PSP 3000s will be disappointed (at least for the moment). Datel has officially changed the product specifications on the company website, removing any reference to the ability to unlock the PSP 3000. Instead, the product description now reads: “Re-engineered specifically for the slimmer 2000 and new 3000 model of the Sony PSP, the MAX Power Digital - Universal Mode Battery lets you enable Service Mode on the PSP 2000 and also works as a normal battery on the new PSP 3000.”
Not only did Datel change the features of the Lite Blue Tool, they also changed its name. The service battery now goes by the name MAX Power Digital. It could be that datel is waiting for hackers to unlock remaining encryption in the new device before the battery will be able to put the PSP 3000 into service mode. If that is the case, then this battery might work once a hack is discovered.
The wait is excruciating, however, this isn’t all bad news. The Max Power Digital does allow users to put their PSP 2000 into service mode and downgrade firmware, like with an ordinary pandora battery. If you have a PSP 2000 and you want to hack it, go nuts:
The Max Power Battery is available on Amazon for $39.99
