Indiana Jones and the handheld hand cramps

February 11th, 2008 by

legoindy.jpgFor many people Indiana Jones is considered the iconic character when someone brings up the words “treasure hunter”. Just as Star Wars would forever change how movies are made Indiana Jones would forever change how the fedora was viewed in American culture. Now, Indiana Jones is coming to the small screen once more for another adventure. Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures will be the title for one of two games coming out this summer timed with the release of the new movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the other is an internally developed game that takes place a year after the third film. The Lego game is expected to take a hint from Lego Star Wars and retell the first 3 Indi movies with a few surprises thrown in for the laughs. One interesting tidbit however is the developer has chosen to remove the Nazis from the game, I can’t wait to see how they cover that up.

This game is currently in development for all current generation consoles along with the PS2, PC, PSP, and DS. The game’s trailer can be viewed below, it actually looks to be a fun game and should do as well as it’s Star Wars counterparts. This will be Indi’s 5th videogame, previous installments were mostly original stories that branched off the trilogy’s plot, they are Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, and Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb. If you’d like to keep tabs on how the game is coming along you can visit the official site here. Keep an eye out for this game as it should be a hit with the younger and older crowds….also keep an eye out for snakes!
