Colorful DS rumors

Last year’s holiday special DS bundles featuring a golden DS Lite with Zelda and a bronze system with Nintendogs are quite hard to find nowadays. It seems that for the moment we’re back to the regular color palette of white, black, and pink. Well, not quite. You might recall a ‘blended’ Crimson / Black DS Lite bundled with Brain Age 2 and eventually sold separately, but rumor has it that Nintendo is not making any more of these two-tone systems. This suits another rumor quite well; perhaps to compensate the axing of the somewhat-red DS Lite, Nintendo is said to be bringing the Navy / Cobalt Blue system to North America. This one was a popular choice for DS Lite importers back in March of ‘06, but now anyone with a hankering for some dark blue portable gaming can snag this new DS Lite color, provided the rumor turns out to be true. Perhaps one day there will be DS Lites of every color, for every lifestyle and every carrying case out there. Or, you could paint yours whatever color you desire, although we wouldn’t recommend it.
