Tales of Innocence announced for DS, Tales of Rebirth ported to PSP
Namco Bandai pledges support to Nintendo’s successful dual-screen portable. The company announced an all-new Tales game for the DS titled Tales of Innocence. The game will feature brand new story and characters, designed by series designer Mutsumi Inomata. Tales of Innocence is expected this winter in Japan, with no official confirmation of a US release, but we can count on the game’s localization at some point in 2008. Following the game’s announcement, its teaser site for Japan has appeared, featuring a trailer for the game which you can watch below. The graphics of the game are gorgeous, very smooth and fully 3D. The trailer also shows the game’s battle system, a combination of previous ones from past Tales games.
Namco Bandai also announced a port of the PS2 game, Tales of Rebirth, for the PSP, which will feature widescreen graphics and a gallery mode. Both the Nintendo DS and the PSP are in Namco Bandai’s platforms of choice for future Tales games, alongside Sony’s PS2 and Nintendo’s Wii. Portable role-playing for the win!
